Ryan Roberts began his art career at a very early age when he discovered the concept of creation, starting with pencils and crayons, which would ultimately lead to his paintings. As a self-taught artist, Ryan has the pure freedom to simply create, to put paint to canvas without any educational training, without any rules. The inspiration of his urban abstract work comes from water, how it flows and how it splashes. He is further inspired by space, the creation and explosion of stars and the vast array of colors that make up cosmic dust. Ryan has recently been inspired by how glass shatters and how sound travels. He also draws from a more urban source in street graffiti, only without letters, just shapes. He translates these concepts to a canvas with color creating captivating and mesmerizing works that appeal to all audiences of all ages and all backgrounds. There are emotions and feelings linked to any color, and Ryan’s blending of those colors offers up eclectic moods and atmospheres sending the viewer through a hailstorm of emotion while heightening their senses. The stories behind any of his works are limited to only the imagination of the viewer.
